Delhi Election 2020: Here’s how to change address on voter ID card online and vote

The Delhi assembly election will take place on February 8. With just a month left for the election, it might be a good time to check whether you can actually vote or not. If you have shifted to Delhi from another state due to work or education then you can apply for a change of address on your voter ID, provided you have valid documents. This will enable you to vote in Delhi. However, do check the final electoral list to see whether your name has been included or not. The entire process can be done online via the NVSP website.

As far as documents are required, you just need a proof of age (Any one need: Birth certificate; marksheet of 10th, 8th and 5th class; Indian passport; driver’s license and Aadhar letter issued by UIDAI) and proof of address. You can show the rent agreement as proof of address. Other valid documents for proof of address are Driving license, Indian passport, ration card, income tax assessment order, rent agreement, water bill, telephone bill, bank/kisan/post office passbook, gas connection bill and electricity bill.
