#House approves $600 stimulus checks in COVID-19 bill

The House of Representatives voted Monday to approve a $2.3 trillion package that includes $600 COVID-19 stimulus checks for most Americans.

The nearly 5,593-page bill was published on Monday and now goes to the Senate, which is expected to also approve the legislation and send it to President Trump for his signature.

The legislation authorizes $600 stimulus checks for people who earn less than $75,000 per year and an extra $600 payment per child.

The bill contains a $300 weekly unemployment insurance supplement and authorizes $284.4 billion in Paycheck Protection Program forgivable loans for small businesses.
