The World According To Jeff Goldblum Renewed For Season 2 on Disney+ -BB

Disney+ subscribers are officially getting more of The World According to Jeff Goldblum, with season 2 on the way. The company launched its streaming service a few months ago with a giant backlog of Disney shows and movies, but a key component to the success of a streaming service is also the amount of original content that is offered. The biggest exclusive featured at launch was The Mandalorian, which helped make Disney+ an early win for the Mouse House, but there are many other pieces of original programming featured.

One of these original shows is The World According to Jeff Goldblum. The series comes from National Geographic and follows Goldblum, who executive produces the series as well, as he learns more about items which are already fairly well-known. Some of the topics covered in season 1 include ice cream, shoes, denim, and RV’s, and Goldblum’s one-of-a-kind personality only adds to the enjoyment The World According to Jeff Goldblum offers. As the first season winds down, Disney has confirmed that more will come.

Disney and National Geographic announced today in a press release that The World According to Jeff Goldblum will get a second season on Disney+, and it will once again consist of 10 episodes packed with Goldblum’s adventures. The final episode of season one will air on January 24th, and no return date has yet been announced for season two of The World According to Jeff Goldblum. Ricky Strauss, the president of Content & Marketing for Disney+, had this to say about the renewal:

Jeff has captured the imagination and curiosity of our audience with his distinct perspective and illuminating adventures. We can’t wait to see where Jeff and our partners at National Geographic take us in season two.

News of more The World According to Jeff Goldblum is welcomed news for fans of the show, even if the information on what will come is limited. It is unclear when production on season 2 will commence, and Goldblum’s upcoming projects could complicate matters. He is scheduled to reprise his role as Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World 3 and production will begin early this year, which could keep Goldblum occupied. Whenever filming on season 2 of The World According to Jeff Goldblum does begin filming, hopefully teasers and information on what topics Goldblum will focus on may come to light at that time.

This renewal is also good news for the current state and future of Disney+. They’ve already announced that The Mandalorian is returning for a second season, and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series was previously picked up for another season as well. Although The Mandalorian is the clear flagship program at this point, more seasons of The World According to Jeff Goldblum can help Disney+ maintain a steady release of original content in the coming years that subscribers are already familiar with.
