#Titans: Every Main Character, Ranked by Intelligence -BB

With DC’s Titans now available on Netflix, it’s time for those without a DC Universe account to dive in. There are no more excuses for not having seen this superhero title. If you’re looking for a little more information on the characters, look no further.

The Titans may not have a super brainiac on the team but they’re still able to work their way out of trouble when they put their heads together — most of the time. On every hero team there’s a need for brawn as well as brains and, well, the Titans have that too. Their strongest members may not be their smartest, but they certainly serve a necessary role.

11 Conner – Superboy

Oh, lovable Conner. He sits at the bottom of the intelligence list when compared to his fellow Titans. It’s not really his fault; he was grown in a containment pod and is basically just an overgrown toddler with super-strength when we meet him. This clone of Superman (and Lex Luthor) worries about what it means to be a hero, and he still has a lot to learn. That doesn’t make him any less endearing ,though, and his sidekick, the canine Krypto, does his best to help the lad as he continues to learn about the world around him.

10 Hank Hall – Hawk

The lovable numbskull and vigilante was always known a bit more for his brawn than his brains as a star football player in both high school and college. Sitting so low on the list may not be all his fault as Hank was always a hard worker who suffered more than his fair share of head injuries while continuing his football career in college. If he meant to protect his brain, then becoming a masked vigilante may not have been the best choice he could have made. However, he is still very skilled as both a fighter and a physical trainer. Not everyone needs to make plans for the team; some people just need to be able to carry them out.

9 Gar Logan – Beast Boy

Gar is hard not to love. He’s kind, a good listener, and shows the most remorse for anyone he kills or injures. But kindness often doesn’t register on the IQ scale, and Gar’s attempts to see the best in everyone can often lead him into some pretty unfortunate danger. His offer to help Rachel find her mother, and later to go with Jason to look for Dr. Light and Deathstroke are both very generous propositions, but still not particularly wise decisions. Both lead Gar and his friends, into even more dangerous situations, and he doesn’t seem to be able to stop himself despite his past experiences.

8 Rose Wilson – Ravager

Daughter of villain Slade Wilson, Rose is wise enough to hide her identity and survive on her own, but it’s hard to forgive her for trusting her ne’er-do-well father in the first place. If her mom doesn’t want to talk about him it may be best to leave it alone. Rose doesn’t, obviously, and falls in with Slade rather quickly.

The fact that she goes for almost the entirety of Season 2 still „working“ for him before falling for Jason and finally making the call to leave her father and their agreement behind doesn’t really show Rose at her best, or at her wisest.

7 Jason Todd – Robin (The New One)

Jason must have some brains in his head if he was able to get adopted by Bruce Wayne. Still, his impulsiveness and lack of people skills make it hard to argue that he’s as smart as he thinks he is. He likes to jump into situations without thinking them through at all  — just look at him lead Gar to Dr. Light and Deathstroke in Season 2. We can all want the best for Jason while still acknowledging his many many flaws. He’s definitely not the smartest in the group and not the smartest Robin either. It gives him a lot of room for growth, which would be nice to see as the show goes on.

6 Rachel Roth – Raven

Rachel may be one of the younger Titans (along with Gar and Jason) but she gets credit for having the best head on her shoulders of the three. Searching for Dick after the death of her mother was a very wise move, and Rachel continues to be the heart of the group, pulling both her friends and the older Titans together when needed. She shows her youth by continuing to run off with people, whether it’s with Donna Troy or a bunch of homeless kids, but she’s young. And who’s to say, she may have been the mastermind behind Bruce Wayne’s visit to the diner.

5 Dawn Granger – Dove

Dawn, like the other ladies on Team Titan, is better at keeping her head on straight than a lot of the boys around her. Often the voice of reason, it takes a lot of brains and wisdom to keep calm in many of these Titan situations. Dawn is wise enough to see a counselor after the loss of her mother, and to end emotionally troubling relationships, even when they were with other members of the Titans. She’s not afraid to ask for help either. Her time with Hank in Wyoming may not have been a great choice, removing them from all their known support systems, but hey, no one is perfect.

4 Kory Anders – Starfire

Kory was at a bit of a disadvantage in the first season, having lost her memory (though not her superpowers). It’s hard to be at your best, or smartest, when all your life experiences are missing.

While her returning memories did at first lead her to attack Rachel, Kory’s grown into a real leader for the group and a good foil for some of Dick’s impulsiveness. With her knowledge not just of the earth but of the universe beyond, it makes Kory quite the asset to the team. If she could learn to control her powers again it would be helpful, but even without them she’s still great at getting the team to talk out their plans.

3 Dick Grayson – Robin (The Original) /Nightwing

Dick gets a lot of credit for being the leader of the Titans as well as the mastermind who thought up their creation. Back in the day, Dick knew he needed help and also knew to ask for it. He’s struggled a lot recently, especially with the trauma of growing up the way he did, but he was also wise enough to think it through and (hopefully) come out healthier on the other side.

2 Donna Troy – Wonder Girl

The only other kid sidekick on the Titans team, Donna seems to have been able to take her history as a vigilante in a bit more stride than Dick. Always willing to listen and help like Kory, in particular when it comes to Rachel, her work as a photographer is also an ingenious way to do good while not always having to fight her way out of situations. She stays on the hero path but makes it work for her. The girl definitely deserves credit for making her own choices and helping others make better choices themselves.

1 Bruce Wayne – Batman

He’s the creator of the Batcave and Titans Tower (all the way out there in San Francisco). Both headquarters are totally tricked out with Wayne technology. The man is able to keep tabs on his proteges with tracking devices and always seems to be able to show up in the nick of time if necessary. Titans Bruce also gets a lot of intellect points for knowing enough to offload his newest sidekick, Jason Todd, for a little help from others.
