{"id":100050,"date":"2020-10-29T01:20:40","date_gmt":"2020-10-28T22:20:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/christopher-eccleston-talks-season-3-of-the-a-word\/"},"modified":"2020-10-29T01:20:40","modified_gmt":"2020-10-28T22:20:40","slug":"christopher-eccleston-talks-season-3-of-the-a-word","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/christopher-eccleston-talks-season-3-of-the-a-word\/","title":{"rendered":"#Christopher Eccleston talks Season 3 of &#8216;The A Word&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Christopher Eccleston talks Season 3 of &#8216;The A Word&#8217;<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n                        Veteran actor Christopher Eccleston says \u201cThe A Word\u201d is a rare treat for him, considering its lighthearted <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roach to storytelling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve always been cast in roles which are very angry, tortured and serious,\u201d Eccleston, 56, tells The Post. \u201cI was grateful to \u2018The A Word\u2019 for letting me try out a comedic role.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The BBC <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> (airing on Sundance TV in the US) follows the dysfunctional Hughes family, which includes kid Joe (Max Vento), parents Alison and Paul (Morven Christie and Lee Ingleby) and kooky grandfather Maurice (Eccleston). They\u2019re all grappling with the revelation that Joe has autism. Season 3, premiering Nov. 4 at 11 p.m., sees the family further dealing with the fallout from Alison and Paul\u2019s divorce.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[The show is] life, really. All done with great humanity and love,\u201d says Eccleston. \u201cI feel it\u2019s very important for visibility and inclusiveness. Autism touches many families in the UK. We\u2019re not soapboxing; it\u2019s presented with great humor. I\u2019m not a normal man!\u201d) but, in Season 3, he settles into a relationship with music teacher and single mom Louise Wilson (Pooky Quesnel, \u201cEastEnders\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaurice has found some contentment. And of course, being Maurice, he im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely tries to put a bomb in his own contentment,\u201d says Eccleston. \u201cBut we\u2019ve seen his initial courtship with Louise. [This season] we see a divorce through an autistic child\u2019s point of view. For Maurice, he sees the impact of that on Joe and tries to help in his inimitable fashion. He\u2019s an actor\u2019s dream, because he\u2019s always in the moment. You can become quite cynical as an actor \u2014 turn up, phone your performance in, and go home. And you can\u2019t do that with him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eccleston\u2019s prolific career has spanned everything from long-running classic hits (playing the ninth incarnation of the iconic Doctor in \u201cDoctor Who\u201d) to big-screen blockbusters (\u201cThor: The Dark World,\u201d \u201c28 Days Later\u201d) to critically acclaimed niche shows (\u201cThe Leftovers\u201d). And if you\u2019re a working-class kid as I was, you\u2019re not really taken seriously. So you have to go after the classical heavyweight roles to make them have to [pay attention].<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou have to bloody their nose.
