An internet service company Anique opened "lain 2020 eXhibition,"<\/strong><\/span><\/a> an online exhibition dedicated to the legendary cyberpunk mixed-media<\/a> project Serial experiments lain<\/strong><\/em>, on October 28. It has been 22 years since its 13-episode cult classic TV anime<\/a> was was aired in Japan 1998.<\/p>\n

The exhibition consists of seven layers, including "layer 05"<\/strong> to recreate club cyberia that app<\/a>eared in the anime story and "layer 07"<\/strong> to display the illustration works by the original character designer Yoshitoshi ABe<\/strong>, as well as an online store to offer limited items.<\/p>\n

"layer 01: 1998" <\/strong>– Landscape where lain was born in 1988.<\/p>\n

"layer 02: 2020"<\/strong> – Omnipresence of serial experiments lain nowadays.<\/p>\n

"layer 03: \u73b2\u30a4n"<\/strong> – \u73b2\u97f3, \u30ec\u30a4\u30f3, lain, and other people.<\/p>\n

"layer 04: Prophecy"<\/strong> – Reality that catches up with the story.<\/p>\n

"layer 05: club cyberia"<\/strong> – After 20 years,  Cyberia is realized.<\/p>\n

"layer 06: ROOM"<\/strong> – How to build lain's room.<\/p>\n

"layer 07: illustrations"<\/strong> – lain drawn by Yoshitoshi  ABe<\/p>\n
