\n Kourtney Kardashian ignored the ongoing backlash from Kim Kardashian\u2019s 40th birthday party, posting bikini photos from the lavish getaway.<\/p>\n

The Poosh creator, 41, posted snaps of herself<\/a> frolicking in crystal blue waters with Kardashian acolytes, musician Harry Hudson and model Fai Khadra, while the internet blasted her sister for her tone-deaf birthday posts.<\/p>\n

\u201cname a better trio,\u201d the mom of three captioned pics. She also posted another set of pictures<\/a> in a black bikini from the trip<\/a>, in which Kim flew her inner circle to a private island.<\/p>\n

In a post on Tuesday, which has since become an internet meme, Kim wrote, \u201cAfter 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cWe danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is. #thisis40\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans immedia<\/a>tely slammed the KKW Beauty founder\u00a0for sharing the photos despite acknowledging her privilege and noting the health precautions that were taken to avoid the spread of COVID-19.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood for you. I lost four months of pay, still tied up with unemployment and have seen a significant drop in future earnings,\u201d one Twitter user wrote. Another added, \u201cnobody in this family could read a room if their life depended on it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even rock legend Peter Frampton jumped into the fray, tweeting<\/a>: \u201cAre you that insensitive you don\u2019t realise this is not what the majority of people during the worst covid spike yet want to hear? People are going to food banks not private islands.\u201d\n <\/div>\n
