article__inset__pullquote__mark--right\">\u201d<\/span>\n      <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>       That\u2019s Bill Blain, strategist at London-based Shard Capital, sharing his ominous take on the stock market ahead of what he described as \u201cthe most critical election in global history\u201d and as investors gr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>le with spiking coronavirus numbers.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       \u201cWinter lockdowns, fears about second and now third waves of infections, and tumbling stocks on the back of prospects for a crumbling economic recovery across Europe have put markets into full tumble mode,\u201d he wrote in a blog post. \u201cIt might be the last couple of days of the month, but this feels like it could develop into a classic October crash.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> His bearish outlook is based mostly on just how ineffective he believes free stimulus money will ultimately be for the stock market once \u201cthe dark and sordid truths\u201d of quantitative easing are realized.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can fool the markets with massive bailouts to step a catastrophic crash,\u201d Blain explained, \u201cbut no amount of QE can stop a tiny virus a billion times smaller than a computer-screen pixel [from] doing its stuff.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So what\u2019s an investor to do to prepare for what comes next?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will overcome this pandemic, and that means fundamental stocks are on!\u201d he wrote. \u201cBut the deepening lockdown and the Economic Fabianism required to fight the virus means there may be more market pain to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He urged investors to pick \u201cyour moment to re-enter markets \u2026 carefully,\u201d as he considered what his personal strategy will be from next Tuesday onward. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m in the process of working out my post-U.S.-election strategy \u2014 and I\u2019m frankly wondering if it\u2019s worth the time and energy.\u00a0 Sell oil in case Biden wins and pushes green energy? Short tech stocks based on the threat of an industry clampdown? Tweak exposure on concerns about the future slope of the yield curve?\u201d <\/p>\n<p>There are  clearly lots of moving parts. \u201cShould I just admit the attractions of further investment directed at the U.S. now look \u2026 [q]uestionable?\u201d Blain asked.
