Yesterday, it was confirmed that the CBS reality franchise will return for a season 23 with host Julie Chen Moonves \u2026 but what about a celebrity season?<\/p>\n<p><em>Celebrity Big Brother\u00a0<\/em>aired on two separate occasions on CBS, starting in 2018 and continuing into 2019. There was no season this past winter, though, with the network deciding to prioritize other things. The show has never been formally canceled, though, with there always being a chance of it coming back.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For some more <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> when it comes to\u00a0<em>Big Brother 22\u00a0<\/em>in video form,\u00a0<\/strong>be sure to watch some of the latest finale coverage below! While you never say never with such things, the answer for now feels like a pretty clear \u201cno.\u201d Why? There are a handful of reasons for it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. There has been no announcement\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Given that\u00a0<em>Celebrity Big Brother\u00a0<\/em>probably would have premiered in January, there was a golden opportunity last night for Julie to make it clear it was h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ening. Instead, the only thing she decided to promote was the next season in summer 2021.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. The ratings aren\u2019t enough\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 While\u00a0<em>Celebrity Big Brother\u00a0<\/em>wasn\u2019t a total flop (its ratings actually weren\u2019t that different in season 2 from\u00a0<em>Big Brother All-Stars\u00a0<\/em>this summer), it didn\u2019t make enough of a splash for CBS to justify making it an annual thing. It just doesn\u2019t produce the same amount of revenue as a newbie season of the show, especially since it can only get one month\u2019s worth of live-feed subscriptions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Other priorities\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Because CBS has been waiting for so long to get some other scripted stuff on the air, it would be weird to suddenly prioritize a reality show again in the new year.
