However, some keyboards don\u2019t have a Menu key. If yours is missing, you can create one by m<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ing the Menu function to another key you don\u2019t use very often.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Remapping_with_PowerToys\"><\/span>Remapping with PowerToys<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Thanks to a free utility called Microsoft PowerToys, you can easily reassign any key to work like any other. In this case, we\u2019ll be assigning the Menu key\u2019s function to a spare key on your keyboard.<\/p>\n<p>First, if you don\u2019t have PowerToys installed on Windows 10, you can\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/microsoft\/PowerToys\/releases\/\">download it for free<\/a> from Microsoft\u2019s website. If you have a full-size keyboard, the Alt key to the right of the space bar usually works well. It\u2019s in the same <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> location as the Menu key on other keyboards, and you have another Alt key on the left, so you won\u2019t be losing anything.<\/p>\n<p>Some people also use the right Ctrl or Scroll Lock\u00a0keys, but this is all personal preference\u2014just choose the one that works best for you.<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve decided, click the drop-down arrow in the \u201cKey:\u201d section on the left to select the key you want to use\u2014for our example, we chose \u201cAlt (Right).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the \u201cMapped To\u201d area on the right, select \u201cMenu\u201d from the drop-down, and then click \u201cOK.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-696576 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/xselect_menu_from_list.jpg.pagespeed.gp+jp+jw+pj+ws+js+rj+rp+rw+ri+cp+md.ic.E8D4wGIXO7.jpg\" alt=\"Click the drop-down arrow and select the key, and then select &quot;Menu&quot; from the &quot;Mapped To&quot; drop-down.\" width=\"650\" height=\"357\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Power Toys will probably warn you that the key you\u2019re remapping will be unassigned; click \u201cContinue Anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-681766 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/xunassigned_warning_alt.png.pagespeed.gp+jp+jw+pj+ws+js+rj+rp+rw+ri+cp+md.ic.50NCFWzwAc.png\" alt=\"Click &quot;Continue Anyway.&quot;\" width=\"650\" height=\"276\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Your new Menu key should work im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely. To test it, click anywhere on the desktop, and then press your new Menu key. Then, click Keyboard Manager &gt; Remap a Key. You can then create a new mapping to a different key or just close PowerToys.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ShiftF10\"><\/span>Shift+F10<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re ever in a pinch on a keyboard that doesn\u2019t have a Menu key (and you can\u2019t remap it) try pressing Shift+F10\u00a0or Ctrl+Shift+F10.
