Collider<\/a> brings word about this Awkwafina Sandra Oh pairing, which does not have an official title yet. According to this piece, the movie (we\u2019re assuming it\u2019s a movie, although Collider\u2019s report does not explicitly specify if it\u2019s a film or TV series<\/a>) tells the story of two sisters who undergo an unlikely mission:<\/p>\n

But my fantasy casting suggestions aside, this sounds like it could be fun \u2013 though I\u2019m curious about what type of game show we\u2019re talking about here. Is this an existing popular game show like Jeopardy!<\/em> or The Price is Right<\/em>, or a show that was made up specifically for this story? And could Ferrell, who\u2019s producing this movie with\u00a0Jessica Elbaum<\/strong>\u00a0(Hustlers<\/em>, Booksmart<\/em>) through their Gloria Sanchez production company, end up playing the game show host? He memorably portrayed a peeved Alex Trebek on many an episode of Saturday Night Live<\/em>, so it theoretically wouldn\u2019t be too much of a stretch for him.<\/p>\n

But the central draw here is seeing the two actresses play sisters, and they\u2019re both such charismatic performers that I have to imagine they\u2019ll be able to elevate the material.\u00a0Jen D\u2019Angelo<\/strong> wrote the screenplay. She\u2019s a trip<\/a>le threat (actress\/producer\/writer) who has credits on Cougar Town<\/em>, Workaholics<\/em>, Happ<\/a>y Together<\/em>, and this year\u2019s animated comedy series\u00a0Solar Opposites<\/em>. D\u2019Angelo is also the writer of the upcoming\u00a0Hocus Pocus 2<\/em>, the long-brewing sequel to the early 1990s Halloween \u201cclassic\u201d which is aiming to reunite the original cast of Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker and debut on Disney+. Collider points out that she\u2019s an executive producer on the forthcoming NBC series Young Rock<\/em> and that she was the on-set writer for The Tomorrow War<\/em>, the futuristic Chris Pratt special forces movie.<\/p>\n
