Belly up to London\u2019s new vegan butcher shop, Rudy\u2019s, where meat isn\u2019t an option. Opening day is Sunday, which also happ<\/a>ens to be World Vegan Day.<\/p>\n

Rudy\u2019s is aiming to capitalize on the soaring demand for vegan products in Britain, where many are cutting out animal-derived ingredients or at least reducing their intake of meat and dairy, Reuters reported.<\/a> Last year, the UK saw a 128% in new trademarks registered for vegan food.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople understand what it is that we\u2019re selling,\u201d co-founder Matthew Foster said. <\/span>\u201cIt\u2019s all designed to emulate meat. It tastes like meat, it\u2019s got meat-like texture.\u201d<\/p>\n

Available are meatless versions of traditional favorites such as bacon, sausage and turkey \u2014 all made with soya, seitan, and the like.<\/p>\n

Foster and his team started out in 2017 with a vegan diner and are now expanding. They even offer dinner kits to make at home.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
