\n The NYPD is still trying to solve a bizarre and random clubbing attack \u2014 involving the kind of long brush used to clean barbecues \u2014 that sent a 78-year-old man to the sidewalk in Manhattan on Monday.<\/p>\n

The victim was walking in front of 393 West 49th St., not far from his Hell\u2019s Kitchen residence, at about 2 a.m. when a male stranger app<\/a>roached him from behind and struck him in the head with a \u201cwooden grill brush,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n

The suspect \u201csaid nothing\u201d and kept walking east on West 49th Street, the victim told ABC New York.<\/a><\/p>\n

The victim crumbled to the ground and was left bruised and in pain. EMS took him to Mount Sinai hospital in stable condition, police said.<\/p>\n

The NYPD released a video of the wanted man and a photo from the scene of the crime prior to the incident.<\/p>\n
