\n President Trump attacked his Democratic rival Joe Biden as part of a \u201ccorrupt political class\u201d at a Pennsylvania campaign stop Saturday \u2014 while Biden and his former boss, President Barack Obama, double-teamed Trump at a Michigan rally, their first in-person campaign app<\/a>earance together.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone knows that Joe Biden is not equipped to lead America,\u201d Trump told a crowd of supporters<\/a> at Keith House in Bucks County, the colonial farmhouse where George Washington planned his famous crossing of the Delaware in 1776.<\/p>\n

He pooh-poohed the news<\/a> that his predecessor was hitting the trail this weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said that\u2019s good, he campaigned for Hillary,\u201d Trump snarked. \u201cHow did that work out?\u201d<\/p>\n

Obama, at an invitation-only drive-in rally in Flint, mocked Trump\u2019s fondness<\/a> for huge campaign events as Election Day nears.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is his obsession, by the way, with crowd size?\u201d he asked a modest group of supporters seated in their vehicles, who honked their car horns in approval.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the one measure he has of success,\u201d Obama said. \u201cDid no one come to his birthday party when he was a kid? Is he traumatized?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur country is going through a pandemic!\u201d he added. \u201cThat\u2019s not what you\u2019re supposed to be worried about.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michigan, which Trump won by just 11,000 votes in 2016, is one of Biden\u2019s top Election Day targets \u2013 and despite a 7-point lead in the state, according to RealClearPolitics<\/a>, he hauled out his top surrogate Saturday to try to clinch it.<\/p>\n

The duo\u2019s visits to Flint and to Detroit, the state\u2019s largest African American strongholds, reflect nervousness among some Democrats that Trump has made inroads among black voters \u2013 whose early-voting turnout has been low.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Biden campaign is worried that the Trump campaign will peel off some of the African-American vote,\u201d a senior Democratic Party insider told The Post. \u201cThey may peel off more than logic should allow.\u201d<\/p>\n

Both Biden and Obama focused heavily on coronavirus, accusing Trump of mishandling a pandemic that is blamed for nearly 230,000 deaths.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis closing argument this week is that the press and people are too focused on COVID,\u201d Obama said. \u201c\u2018COVID, COVID, COVID,\u2019 he\u2019s complaining. He\u2019s jealous of COVID\u2019s media<\/a> coverage!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cImagine where we\u2019d be if we had a president who wore a mask instead of mocking it,\u201d Biden said in a heated 22-minute speech. \u201cWhat makes it go away is if he goes away.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump argued that Biden\u2019s support for lockdowns and school closures to combat the disease are untenable.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s his only plan, make you a prisoner of your home, a prisoner in your own country,\u201d he said. \u201cA child in a classroom cannot be replaced by a computer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is no future for American youth,\u201d he said. \u201cDraconian lockdowns do not stop the virus.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biden also waxed nostalgic about the Obama presidency.<\/p>\n

\u201cKind of reminds you of how good it can be, listening to him, doesn\u2019t it?\u201d he asked as he came to the podium after Obama introduced him.<\/p>\n

He touched only briefly on Trump\u2019s accusations of corruption against him and son Hunter Biden.<\/p>\n

\u201cEight years without one single trace of scandal,\u201d he said of the Obama-Biden administration. \u201cIt\u2019s going to be nice to return to that.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

But Trump told his supporters that, even after four years in the White House, he is still a Washington outsider.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you want to be ruled by a corrupt political class, or do you want to be governed by the American people?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one embodies this betrayal and treachery more than Joe Biden,\u201d Trump said. \u201cThese betrayals made his family rich.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, First Lady Melania Trump teased Biden for his passive campaign schedule.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you hide in a basement, you feel safe communicating your wishful thinking,\u201d she said at a rare appearance<\/a> in another battleground state, Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

\u201cI watch Donald continue to work hard to keep people informed and calm, to protect our economy and make hard and unpopular decisions to do all he could to keep us all safe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump told supporters in Reading<\/a>, the second of four stops Saturday in critical Pennsylvania: \u201cYou are so lucky that we took this journey together. Pennsylvania, you are so lucky, you better get out and vote on Tuesday.\u201d\n <\/div>\n
