“#Odell Beckham could be traded by Browns in NFL offseason<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n Odell Beckham Jr. tore his ACL in last Sunday\u2019s Browns win over the Bengals, and it may be the last chapter of his career in Cleveland.<\/p>\n

NFL Network\u2019s Ian Rapoport reported Sunday morning<\/a> that, \u201cThere\u2019s a very real possibility that he has played his final game<\/a> with the Cleveland Browns.\u201d<\/p>\n

The report points out that if the Browns want to move on from the three-time Pro Bowl receiver that it would likely be in an offseason trade rather than a release.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old Beckham tore his ACL on the Browns\u2019 second offensive play against the Bengals last week, attempting to make a tackle after quarterback Baker Mayfield threw an interception that was intended for him. Cincinnati cornerback Darius Phillips made the interception and Beckham tried to chase him down before colliding into traffic and falling to the turf.<\/p>\n

An MRI Monday confirmed the ACL tear in his left knee and that he would need surgery, and it app<\/a>ears the injury has been an emotional ordeal for Beckham.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really don\u2019t have many words right now definitely not the right ones at least,\u201d Beckham posted Friday on his Instagram story.<\/p>\n

While the Browns have no long-term obligations to Beckham considering his contract is unguaranteed beyond 2021, $12.8 million of his 2021 salary is now guaranteed due to the injury. That could mean Cleveland will likely prefer to trade him rather than release him outright.<\/p>\n

Beckham would be on his third team in four seasons if the Browns opt to move on from the All-Pro receiver. The Giants traded him to the Browns in March 2019 for safety Jabrill Peppers and Cleveland\u2019s 2019 first- and third-round picks.<\/p>\n

With 23 passes for 319 yards and three touchdowns for the Browns so far this season, Beckham has also rushed three times for 72 yards and a touchdown.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
