finds.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       Former Vice President Joe Biden leads Trump, 52% to 42%,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/s.wsj.net\/public\/resources\/documents\/NBCWSJ%20Late%20October%20Poll%202020.pdf\" class=\"icon none\">in the poll\u2019s final reading<\/a>\u00a0of voter opinion before Election Day, essentially unchanged from\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/biden-has-11-point-lead-over-trump-less-than-three-weeks-to-election-day-11602734461\" class=\"icon none\">Biden\u2019s 11-point advantage<\/a>\u00a0in mid-October. In particular, women and seniors have turned against the president, the poll finds, with both groups favoring Biden by double-digit margins.<\/p>\n<p> However, the survey finds the race tightening when the landscape is narrowed to a set of 12 battleground states. Biden holds a 6-point lead across those states, 51% to 45%, compared with a 10-point lead last month.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s advantage in swing states is within the poll\u2019s margin of error and corresponds with the many swing-state surveys that show close races and a potential path for Trump to build an Electoral College majority without winning the national popular vote, as he did in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis election is probably the most competitive 10-point race I\u2019ve seen,\u201d said Republican pollster Bill McInturff, who conducted the survey with Democrat Jeff Horwitt.
