“#NYC sheriffs shut down illegal Halloween party in the Bronx<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n City officials exercised more than 500 costumed ghouls and ghosts from a Bronx warehouse early Sunday after the revelers gathered for a Halloween party in spite of social<\/a>-distancing\u00a0and large-gathering rules.<\/p>\n

The New York City Sheriff\u2019s Department watched about 150 partygoers in Halloween costumes enter the raucous bash on Seabury Avenue before sending deputies around 1:25 a.m. Sunday to break up the shindig.<\/p>\n

Inside the spooky space, deputies found at least 557 people dancing, boozing, not social distancing \u2014 many without proper face masks.<\/p>\n

In photos, the tightly-packed crowd could be seen mingling underneath strobe lights, cobwebs and a spider suspended in the air.<\/p>\n

The venue had been equipped with a large walk-up bar, a food truck and two DJs to entertain the revelers, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Despite not having a proper liquor license, there were \u201clarge amounts of alcohol\u201d uncovered at the bar and in storage locations, authorities said.<\/p>\n

They also had been serving booze without anything to chow down on \u2014 in defiance of a statewide food-with-drinks mandate.<\/p>\n

Photos showed offices confiscating numerous coolers and tubs of Grey Goose vodka, Casamigos tequila, Bud Light and other booze.<\/p>\n

Deputies ordered the illegal bash to shut down \u2014 and a photo shows a pirate, a woman in a police costume and others exiting the rager.<\/p>\n

Abe V. Systems Inc. was charged for failure to protect public health and safety, running an unlicensed bottle club, and warehousing liquor, authorities said<\/p>\n

Desk app<\/a>earance tickets were also issued to 20 other people, including party organizers, security guards, employees, and entertainers, for violating Mayor Bill de Blasio and Gov. Andrew Cuomo\u2019s COVID-19 rules, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The tickets from the rager could lead to more than $100,000 in fines.<\/p>\n

The bust comes less than 24 hours after another Halloween party was broken up in Brooklyn while in full swing at a warehouse.<\/p>\n

Nearly 400 people were found dancing at the Williamsburg venue when authorities shut it down around 1 a.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n

Deputies issued desk appearance tickets to nine people, including the party organizer, security guards, employees and entertainers.<\/p>\n

Last month, authorities busted more than 200 maskless revelers dancing, drinking and smoking hookah inside a Queens catering hall.<\/p>\n

There had been a hookah party \u2014 meant to be capped at 45 guests \u2014 that people paid to get into at the Queens Luxe Banquet Hall in Ozone Park, sources said.<\/p>\n

Coronavirus guidelines in the Empire State currently allow indoor arts and entertainment spaces to operate at 25 percent capacity \u2014 though all patrons must wear a mask except when eating or drinking.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
