However, the openness of Android means you can install third-party app stores, too.<\/p>\n<p>The Google Play Store is, by far, the largest app store available to those who use Android. It\u2019s also the safest place to download apps and games. However, if your device doesn\u2019t have the Play Store, or you\u2019re just interested in alternatives, below are some other options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/aax-us-east.amazon-adsystem.com\/x\/c\/QuX1tbxTu3HK2K-oW3SVyiQAAAFszzU7rAEAAAFKAdC2igo\/https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/feature.html?creativeASIN=1000626391&amp;linkCode=w61&amp;imprToken=xFPRqQlVLFy0dXzM15uhnA&amp;slotNum=1&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;docId=1000626391&amp;tag=hotoge-20\">Amazon Appstore<\/a>:<\/strong>\u00a0This is on Kindle Fire tablets, but you can install it on an Android device, as well. Because it\u2019s backed by Amazon, it\u2019s a pretty safe app store to use.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apkpure.com\/editor-choice\">APKPure<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>Similar to the Play Store, it has many of the same apps, including Google\u2019s. It\u2019s also a popular way to download region-locked apps and games.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/f-droid.org\/en\/\">F-Droid<\/a>:<\/strong>\u00a0An old Android app store that\u2019s specifically for open-source apps. It\u2019s not very big, but it does have some nice niche offerings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Installing any of these app stores on your device is quite simple. The process is called \u201csideloading,\u201d and we\u2019ll walk you through it.<\/p>\n<p>First, decide which app store you want. For this guide, we\u2019ll be using the Amazon Appstore.
