While using Windows 10, you might see a list of \u201cMost Used\u201d apps in your Start menu. Whether you\u2019d like to simplify to Start menu or conceal the list due to privacy concerns, hiding the most used apps list is easy. Here\u2019s how to do it.<\/p>\n

When enabled, the \u201cMost Used\u201d section of the Start menu keeps track of which apps you use the most, and it displays them in a Start menu list.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019d like to remove the Most Used app list from the Start menu, we\u2019ll need to visit Windows Settings. First, launch \u201cSettings\u201d by opening the \u201cStart\u201d and clicking the \u201cGear\u201d icon (or by pressing Windows+I).<\/p>\n

In Settings, select \u201cPersonalization.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Personalization, click \u201cStart.\u201d<\/p>\n

If you\u2019d like to completely disable the Windows feature that keeps track of which apps you use the most, open \u201cSettings\u201d and navigate to Privacy > General<\/a>. Flip the switch beside \u201cLet Windows track app launches to improve Start and search results\u201d to \u201cOff.\u201d<\/p>\n

After you\u2019re done with that, you can simplify your Start menu even further by revisiting the \u201cStart\u201d section in \u201cSettings\u201d and turning off other switches for items like \u201cShow recently added apps\u201d and \u201cShow suggestions occasionally in Start.\u201d What you disable depends on your personal preferences.
