\n John Najarian, executive vice president and publisher at E!, is the latest departure to hit the beleaguered network, Page Six has confirmed.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re told Najarian, who is based in Los Angeles, will leave E! at the end of the year to pursue other digital opportunities. He broke the news<\/a> to his team on Monday.<\/p>\n

He joined the network in 2001.<\/p>\n

Najarian\u2019s exit comes after the coronavirus pandemic hit NBCUniversal hard, resulting in layoffs across the company and its smaller networks.<\/p>\n

A rep for E! declined to comment, while Najarian didn\u2019t immedia<\/a>tely return Page Six\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n

E! announced it was canceling<\/a> shows \u201cIn the Room,\u201d \u201cPop of the Morning\u201d and flagship \u201cE! News\u201d as a result of the economic havoc the pandemic wreaked on the company.<\/p>\n

The cancellations meant layoffs within the New York-based production team, though the company was said to be trying to move some people into other roles within the company.<\/p>\n

As a result of the restructuring, the new iterations of \u201cAccess Hollywood\u201d and \u201cE! News\u201d have been forced to share a studio, which Page Six exclusively reported caused tensions between the shows\u2019 staffers and talent.<\/p>\n

E! first experienced layoffs when its signature show, \u201cE! News,\u201d first moved from Los Angeles to New York in 2019 under former \u201cToday\u201d vet Tammy Filler\u2019s direction and it laid off 20 to 25 people. Following the announcement of the show\u2019s move, then-E! network president Adam Stotsky announced his exit.<\/p>\n

Page Six exclusively reported in August that a slew of layoffs would also affect NBC News, which produces flagships including \u201cNBC Nightly News\u201d and the \u201cToday\u201d show.<\/p>\n

E! currently runs \u201cDaily Pop\u201d on weekdays and \u201cNightly Pop\u201d four nights per week. The network\u2019s \u201cThe Bradshaw Bunch\u201d season finale will air Thursday, Nov. 5.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
