\n A golden retriever\u2019s doggedness has landed her safely back at home with her humans \u2014 about 62 miles (100 kilometers) later.<\/p>\n

Ping An, whose name translates app<\/a>roximately to \u201csafe\u201d (\u5e73\u5b89) in Chinese, reportedly walked for two weeks back to the eastern China city of Qidong, arriving understandably worse for wear, but recovering well, according to social-media sources<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 1-year-old dog was spotted limping outside an office building on Oct. 26 and reportedly fed \u201cmeat buns\u201d and dog food. Her rescuers took care of her immediate injuries, mostly on her feet, then took to social media<\/a> in hopes of finding her owners.<\/p>\n

While their home was being remodeled, Ping An\u2019s family intended to leave her with friends 62 miles away in Nantong for several weeks, so she wouldn\u2019t be upset by the persistent construction. But after four months of separation, the family learned their dog had gone missing from her temporary home without a trace.<\/p>\n

For weeks, the families worried over Ping An\u2019s whereabouts.<\/p>\n

The poor pup looked \u201cquite depressed after she was unable to find her owners,\u201d the rescuers said, according to<\/a> the Daily Mail.<\/p>\n

\u201cPing An, you\u2019ve worked hard. You just stay home from now on. [We] would never send you away,\u201d said her owner in video footage shared on Chinese media.<\/p>\n

The family also told reporters that they\u2019d never again allow Ping An to leave their side.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
