The couple had been married for 21 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter much consideration, I have decided to end my marriage to Tom Girardi,\u201d the reality personality \u2014 also known by her stage name, Erika Jayne \u2014\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1204649\/real-housewives-of-beverly-hills-erika-jayne-and-tom-girardi-break-up-after-21-years-together\">told E!<\/a>. \u201cThis is not a step taken lightly or easily. I have great love and respect for Tom and for our years and the lives we built together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is my absolute wish to proceed through this process with respect and with the privacy that both Tom and I deserved,\u201d she concluded. \u201cI request others give us that privacy as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear if her divorce will play out on the upcoming season of \u201cRHOBH,\u201d as she is currently filming.<\/p>\n<p>Erika revealed in 2017 that <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/862205\/andy-cohen-s-then-now-answers-the-burning-question-which-real-housewives-signed-a-prenup\">the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement<\/a> ahead of the 1999 wedding, saying: \u201cBut let me tell you something, let me be very clear. I\u2019m married to a very powerful lawyer. A prenup wouldn\u2019t stand in his way anyway. So it doesn\u2019t matter whether you had one or you didn\u2019t, it\u2019s gonna be all Tom\u2019s way, I assure you.
