Samsung’s next flagship smartphone \u2013 possibly called the Samsung Galaxy S21, or Galaxy S30 \u2013 could be announced on January 14, 2021.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This is according to leaker Jon Prosser, who tweeted that the new phones will be announced on that date, with pre-orders also opening on January 14, and the actual launch happ<\/a>ening on January 29.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prosser said that three new devices will be announced: The Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra, with available colors being black, white, grey, silver, violet and pink.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prosser’s report aligns with an earlier report by Steve Hemmerstoffer, which also penned January as a likely launch time frame for the new phones. Hemmerstoffer also shared some renders of what the new phones will look like (below).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prosser’s predictions are often accurate but he does not have a perfect track record. For example, in October he predicted Apple would have a Mac-centric event on November 17; the actual event is happening a week earlier, on November 10.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It’s worth noting that Samsung typically launches its S series<\/a> flagship phones in February, but every major smartphone maker has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, so a shift to January wouldn’t be a complete surprise.\u00a0
