The comfortable build, solid sound quality, and impressive microphone made it a favorite of many and now HyperX aims to improve on its best-selling headset with a wireless version.<\/p>\n<div class=\"review-card-body-inline\">\n<div class=\"text\">\n<div class=\"pros\">\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Heres_What_We_Like\"><\/span>Here&#8217;s What We Like<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Great Sound<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable Frame<\/li>\n<li>Sturdy Build<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cons\">\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"And_What_We_Dont\"><\/span>And What We Don&#8217;t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Earcups get hot in extended sessions<\/li>\n<li>Subpar microphone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This headset boasts 7.1 virtual surround sound and 30 hours of battery life, and that combination does sound pretty great. But the price of the wireless Cloud II is significantly more than the wired version at $149.99, so let\u2019s see if it can still make the same waves as the wired version when it releases on November 10th.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Comfy_Frame_Simple_Connection\"><\/span>Comfy Frame, Simple Connection<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The wireless Cloud II uses the same build as the standard wired version, but that\u2019s nothing to complain about. Everything feels comfortable while remaining sturdy and durable. The earcups and headband are padded with a thick material that feels great and curves to your head well. But while the material is comfortable, it\u2019s certainly not breathable. In extended sessions of using the headset, I definitely started getting uncomfortable due to the heat inside the earcups. The bright red highlights and HyperX logo are a bit much for my liking, but it\u2019s definitely not as over-the-top as a lot of other gaming headsets.<\/p>\n<p>And underneath that bright red HyperX logo, you\u2019ll find some more useful stuff as well. On the left earcup, there\u2019s a volume dial and on the right (alongside a USB-C\u00a0charging port and power button) is a mute mic button. Pretty simple, but I will note now that I had what I can only assume are connection issues while using the headset. The sound would randomly become more grainy or cut out in strange ways. This only h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened one time during my time of using the headset, so it might be a fluke but definitely a fluke worth noting.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Solid_Sound_Going_In%E2%80%A6\"><\/span>Solid Sound Going In\u2026<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>But enough about build quality and volume dials, while that\u2019s important, it\u2019s not as important as the sound quality. And the Cloud II does sound good, not only while playing <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>s but <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> consumption as well. Virtual surround sound isn\u2019t a rare feature on gaming headsets, but it\u2019s appreciated all the same, and the Cloud II\u2019s certainly impresses. I mainly used\u00a0<em><a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/redirect.viglink.com?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ea.com%2Fgames%2Fstarwars%2Fsquadrons&amp;key=204a528a336ede4177fff0d84a044482\">Star Wars: Squadrons<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>to test this out and enabling surround sound definitely immerses you into the action even more.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, how useful this is going to be will depend on the games you play, but if you play any form of competitive PVP or highly immersive games, this is sure to be a treat (assuming the games you play properly support surround sound). While it\u2019s not unbearable to listen to, it\u2019s definitely not great. It\u2019s serviceable enough for a quick voice call, but if you\u2019re hoping for high-quality audio, then you\u2019re not gonna find it here. A subpar microphone is a\u00a0death knell to a headset at this price, because if the microphone is bad, then what\u2019s the point using it compared to a standard pair of headphones. After all, you\u2019d definitely get better audio quality out of a dedicated pair of headphones for less than this headset.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s for that reason I find the Cloud II wireless a difficult headset to recommend.
