“#Anderson Cooper calls Twitter<\/a> ‘clitter’ on CNN<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n Anderson Cooper needs a dose of whatever John King is taking.<\/p>\n

The famed CNN host had a slip of the tongue while anchoring the network\u2019s election coverage Wednesday afternoon when he accidentally called Twitter \u201cClitter,\u201d a clip of the mishap<\/a> shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe president overnight basically declaring victory, claiming that fraud was being committed and making false statements on Clitter, uh, excuse me, on Twitter,\u201d Cooper said in reference to President Trump\u2019s premature declaration of victory and tweets about election fraud.<\/p>\n

The gaffe stood in stark contrast to King\u2019s resilient, around-the-clock coverage in which he\u2019s been a near-omnipresent figure on CNN since polls started to close late Tuesday, to the delight of viewers across the country.<\/p>\n

Still, Twitter denizens relished Cooper\u2019s gaffe and were grateful for something to laugh about while they anxiously awaited news<\/a> of who will be the next president of the United States.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnderson Cooper just referred to Twitter as \u2018Clitter\u2019. Even in darkness, small moments of joy,\u201d Barry Malone, executive producer of AJ Stream, wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Other Twitter users took a naughtier interpretation.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018False statements on clitter\u2019 \u2013 sounds like my teenage years,\u201d wrote<\/a> Edward af Sill\u00e9n.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnderson Cooper just said \u2018clitter\u2019 on national television I am twelve years old omg,\u201d Clark Hennigan tweeted<\/a> with a meme of someone giggling.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, the new dating app<\/a> for power lesbians who don\u2019t have time for pleasantries, Clitter,\u201d quipped<\/a> Noah Cassiel.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen he can\u2019t find the clitter,\u201d wrote<\/a> Ana Valens, the Not Safe For Work reporter for the Daily Dot, with an eyeroll emoji.<\/p>\n

Kate Mannion of Barstool Sports responded<\/a>, \u201cClitter > Twitter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cooper has yet to address the mistake on his own Twitter account.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
