\n Two-time World Series<\/a> champion Johnny Damon may be best known for his speedy base-running, luscious locks and helping the Red Sox break the curse in 2004, but a short cameo in the movie, \u201cFever Pitch,\u201d earned his rear end a legacy of its own.<\/p>\n

Jake Asman of SB Nation Radio asked the former Boston heartthrob on Wednesday about his app<\/a>earance in the film, during which a female fan catcalls Damon for having the \u201csweetest ass in the league.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople still ask me about my rear end all the time, y\u2019know?\u201d the 46-year-old retired outfielder said. \u201cI\u2019m glad that it\u2019s still looking very good. \u2026 Just ask my wife \u2014 I mean we have eight kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2005 romantic comedy starring Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore depicts the unlikely romance between Ben, an obsessive Red Sox fan, and Lindsay, a buttoned-up business woman. The movie was filmed during the 2004 MLB Playoffs and subsequently had to be changed when the Red Sox overcame a\u00a0 3-0 deficit against the Yankees in the ALCS and went on to sweep the Cardinals in the World Series.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh man it was so fun,\u201d Damon said. \u201cThe fact that they changed the script because \u2014 they were going to have the Red Sox lose, but when we ended up winning, they made sure Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon were on the field with us after Game<\/a> 4 celebrating to make this movie over the top. Just a lot of great memories.\u201d<\/p>\n

Damon began his career with the Royals\u2019 organization as a first-round draft pick in 1992. He joined the Red Sox in 2002 and left in 2005 when the Yankees wooed him away with a four-year, $52 million contract.<\/p>\n

In addition to his two four-year stints with the Yankees and Red Sox, the two-time All-Star played for the Royals, Athletics, Tigers, Rays and Indians during his 18-year career in the majors. Damon, who is half Thai, also\u00a0played for the Thailand national baseball team.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
