\n Devina Singh stands charged with obstruction of governmental administration, violation of local law and harassment after spitting in an NYPD officer\u2019s face during a demonstration Wednesday night. Huh? The \u201cphlegm fatale\u201d should face an assault rap.<\/p>\n

Spitting on someone amid a pandemic isn\u2019t just contemptuous disrespect, it\u2019s potentially deadly. Even if she recently tested negative, she couldn\u2019t be sure she wasn\u2019t carrying a virus. And she plainly doesn\u2019t care about others\u2019 health: She wasn\u2019t even wearing a mask as she shouted, \u201cF\u200a-\u200a-\u200ak you, fascist\u201d at the sergeant before the alleged expectoration.<\/p>\n

The NYU alum and intern for former Rep. Jerry Nadler (of course) was one of dozens arrested at Wednesday\u2019s mini-riot in the West Village \u2014 where \u201cprotesters\u201d lit garbage on fire, screamed at outdoor diners and chanted, \u201cBurn the precinct to the ground!\u201d<\/p>\n

But it wasn\u2019t Singh\u2019s first dance. She app<\/a>arently has been busted at protests in the city three months running, for resisting arrest in September and unlawful assembly in October.<\/p>\n

Reached by phone, she told a Post reporter that she was only responding to police violence \u2014 \u201cthey hit us with their bikes repeatedly . . . and started attacking people.\u201d But somehow no one seems to have video showing any of that, despite all the filming protesters do these days.<\/p>\n

In addition to all her \u201cactivism,\u201d Singh\u2019s social<\/a>-media posts show a pretty sweet life, with pics of her in a bathing suit on a boat, sipping margaritas and showing off her heels at boutique hotel The Villa Casa Casuarina in Miami.<\/p>\n

Why would anyone want to be a police officer in this city? They keep us safe and deserve our gratitude and respect. Instead, they\u2019re spat upon for no reason \u2014 and the protesters responsible are given no more than a stern look. It\u2019s shameful.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
