Telling his co-hosts and viewers, Roker was up front about the \u201caggressive\u201d cancer, though he did note he\u2019s \u201cgonna be okay.\u201d He shared:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt\u2019s a good <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>-bad news kind of thing. Good news is we caught it early. Not great news is that it\u2019s a little aggressive, so I\u2019m going to be taking some time off to take care of this.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Related: Kourtney Kardashian DRAGGED For Sharing Absurd Claim That Masks Cause Cancer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The longtime weatherman also recalled the moment he found out from his doctor, as well as describing how he was alone and without the support of his wife <strong>Deborah Roberts<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhen he started, he closed his door and said, \u2018I always like to have these discussions face to face.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018Uh-oh. Well, that doesn\u2019t sound good.\u2019 You hear the word \u2018cancer\u2019 and your mind goes, it\u2019s the next level, you know? I feel badly, because I didn\u2019t tell Deborah to come with me. In hindsight, boy I wish I\u2019d told her to come. She was upset. And once she got past that, the reporter in her kinda took over. And then she\u2019s been at everything ever since.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Dr. Vincent Laudone<\/strong>, the surgeon performing Al\u2019s procedure at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, even <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared on today\u2019s show to share some insight:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cFortunately, his cancer appears somewhat limited or confined to the prostate, but because it\u2019s more aggressive, we wanted to treat it, and after discussion regarding all of the different options \u2014 surgery, radiation, focal therapy \u2014 we settled on removing the prostate.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>We\u2019re wishing him a speedy recovery!!
