\n The UN General<\/a> Assembly just app<\/a>roved seven ridiculous anti-Israel resolutions<\/a>, but that\u2019s same-old, same-old. What\u2019s new is that support dropped markedly.<\/p>\n

The pander-on-Palestinians game<\/a> is losing its luster, thanks in part to the Trump administration\u2019s bold diplomacy.<\/p>\n

So, yes, plenty of nations voted to condemn Israel for alleged nastiness in Gaza and the West Bank. One resolution even referred to the Temple Mount only by its Muslim name, al-Haram al-Sharif \u2014 wishing away Judaism\u2019s most sacred site.<\/p>\n

But the 138 nations that endorsed the drafts (vs. eight against and 16 abstaining) is a notable drop from the 157 that supported the same basic thing last year. Not huge progress, but it\u2019s a step in the right direction.<\/p>\n

Notably, Hungary, often accused of anti-Semitism, joined the opposition: It\u2019s becoming a regular Israeli ally.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, other countries are joining Washington in admitting that Jerusalem is Israel\u2019s capital \u2014 a key defiance of the stale conventions exploded by President Trump.<\/p>\n

That Israel-bashing is no longer an easy appeal to global pieties is progress \u2014 slow progress, but steady.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
