\n Social media<\/a> tributes poured in on Sunday following the death of longtime \u201cJeopardy!\u201d host Alex Trebek, who succumbed to stage 4 pancreatic cancer at the age of 80 on Sunday.<\/p>\n

In addition to former \u201cJeopardy!\u201d champions Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer \u2014 who tweeted<\/a>, \u201cIt was one of the great privileges of my life to spend time with this courageous man while he fought the battle of his life\u201d \u2014 John Legend and Ryan Reynolds were among those who remembered the beloved host.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was obsessed with Jeopardy as a nerdy kid growing up in Ohio. I\u2019ve loved and revered Alex Trebek since I can remember. What an iconic career. RIP Alex Trebek,\u201d Legend tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlex Trebek was kind enough to film a cameo for our film Free Guy last year despite his battle. He was gracious and funny. In addition to being curious, stalwart, generous, reassuring and of course, Canadian. We love you, Alex. And always will,\u201d wrote Reynolds, who also hails from Canada.<\/p>\n

Jennifer Morrow, a two-time \u201cJeopardy!\u201d champion, said Sunday she was \u201cdevastated\u201d by the news<\/a> of Trebek\u2019s passing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for everything, Alex. Truly a life well-lived,\u201d Morrow wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Steve Harvey, the host of ABC\u2019s \u201cFamily Feud,\u201d also called Trebek \u201cthe classiest game<\/a> show host of all time!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy heart is so sad over the passing of the classiest game show host of all time!!! His style was real to me \u2026\u2026 condolences to his entire family and fans #AlexTrebek,\u201d Harvey tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Comedian Josh Gad posted a photo of himself with Trebek, whom he called a \u201clegend.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ryan Seacrest called<\/a> Trebek \u201ca big influence and one of a kind.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAlex Trebek was like a family member who I watched every night. I remember going to the set to watch him tape a show before I started my TV career,\u201d Seacrest tweeted. \u201cHe was a big influence and one of a kind. Rest In Peace, Alex.\u201d<\/p>\n

Viola Davis called Trebek<\/a> \u201ca true, true gentleman and courageous hero,\u201d while Ellen DeGeneres lauded the \u201cJeopardy!\u201d host\u2019s \u201cincredible career.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAlex Trebek hosted Jeopardy for 36 years. What an incredible career and remarkable life. I\u2019m sending love to his family and fans,\u201d DeGeneres wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBachelor\u201d host Chris Harrison also honored Trebek<\/a>, writing, \u201cWe lost a hosting legend today and a real gentleman Alex Trebek. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and his Jeopardy family.\u201d\n <\/div>\n
