\nThe woman with whom\u00a0Carl Lentz<\/strong> allegedly had the torrid affair that ended his preaching career is now coming out to tell her side of the story.<\/p>\n

As we\u2019ve been reporting, the famous celebrity pastor \u2014 who was for a while\u00a0Justin Bieber<\/strong>\u2018s personal spiritual advisor \u2014 was abruptly fired from his position at\u00a0Hillsong Church<\/strong> in New York City last week due to \u201cmoral failures.\u201d Soon after, he broke his silence to confess infidelity on his part \u2014 and now, we\u2019re learning more about that app<\/a>arent relationship outside his marriage.<\/p>\n

Ranin<\/strong>, a designer by trade who is choosing to keep her last name private, spoke to The Sun<\/em> about their illicit affair, sharing with the outlet \u201cemotional text messages and videos\u201d from Carl confirming a connection.<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old revealed she\u2019s opening up about their time together as a result of Lentz\u2019s \u201coffensive\u201d Instagram<\/strong> post. Feeling it glossed over the seriousness of their relationship and made it seem like \u201cthey just had a fling,\u201d Ranin claimed they actually felt a \u201cdeep, special connection\u201d to each other.<\/p>\n

The New Yorker explained (below):<\/p>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t there for just sex, we both found comfort and a deep, special connection with each other. I am very hurt because we both feel the same way about each other. He loves me and I love him. It was a love relationship that wasn\u2019t planned. It wasn\u2019t just a fling or just a sexual relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Uh-oh. That\u2019s never a good sign for a married person!<\/p>\n

How It Started\u2026<\/p>\n

It all began in May at Domino Park<\/strong> in Brooklyn, when Lentz approached her to \u201cflirt and make small talk.\u201d A Muslim, Ranin was completely unfamiliar with the Christian and Evangelical world and thus didn\u2019t recognize Lentz at all.<\/p>\n

Immedia<\/a>tely, he put the moves on, and even hid his last name from her while allegedly lying about his profession:<\/p>\n

\u201cI have no knowledge of the Christian world, I\u2019m Muslim. He told me the most beautiful women come from the Middle East and we kept talking from there. We walked and talked more for a little bit and exchanged numbers. He told me his name was Carl but that\u2019s it, he wouldn\u2019t tell me his last name. And he told me that his job was as a sports agent.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Hmm\u2026<\/p>\n

At the time, Carl even apparently claimed to her that he didn\u2019t want to be found on Google<\/strong> so that she can \u201cget to know him in person\u201d instead. Smooth, man\u2026<\/p>\n

Sensing something was amiss, Ranin asked him whether he was married:<\/p>\n

\u201cHe didn\u2019t tell me that he was married at first, he doesn\u2019t wear a ring. A few dates in, I had a feeling something was up so I asked him if he was married, and he admitted that yes, he had been for 17 years and has three kids. He texted me later that night and he said something like, \u2018It was great getting to know you more. Sorry if you were bummed to find out I am married, I could tell you kind of were.\u2019 At this point, I still didn\u2019t know who he really was. So I\u2019m like \u2018what\u2019s going on?\u2019 So that day, using his phone number, I paid a website to do a search and I find all of this information about him and my mind was blown.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Miffed, Ranin \u201ccalled Carl out\u201d about the infidelity, and he came over to her place in NYC that night to explain himself.<\/p>\n

She recalled the line he used to try to get past his marriage, allegedly telling her:<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said he had absolutely never strayed outside of his marriage before and was feeling guilty. But he told me that when he met me, God told him to tell me that I need to know my worth and there\u2019s something special about me\u2026 whatever, whatever.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This guy\u2019s got a line for every situation, it seems.<\/p>\n

\u2026How It\u2019s Going\u2026<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the two continued to see each other. Ranin recalled they would hang out \u201ca few times a week\u201d over a several-month period (and while she doesn\u2019t mention this part, all this is<\/em> going on during a pandemic quarantine over the summer, too! Just saying!!!).<\/p>\n

She even alleged Carl sent her a text message on his wife Laura<\/strong>\u2018s birthday on October 12, saying he \u201cdidn\u2019t know how to stop\u201d their relationship and repair things in his marriage. By then, of course, the damage had been done \u2014 and the world was about to find out about Carl\u2019s \u201cmoral failures\u201d through his Hillsong job.<\/p>\n

At one point, watching the whole thing blow up behind the scenes, Ranin recalled how she tried to push Carl away, saying:<\/p>\n

\u201cI told him, \u2018I wish I never met you at the park.\u2019 I would tell him I want nothing to do with him but he would keep coming back despite me telling him to leave me alone. Every time I said I\u2019m done, he would come back and pursue me. He was always the one who pursued me, and every time he messaged or called me and I didn\u2019t answer, he would send even more messages and he would go crazy. He would tell me I was a dream to him. He told me on the first day we met that I was everything he ever wanted in a woman.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Wow\u2026<\/p>\n

And again, the designer was adamant to note their relationship was much more than sexual. She told the outlet they \u201cwould write novels to each other\u201d when they weren\u2019t together, eventually creating \u201ca delusional relationship\u201d in the process.<\/p>\n

\u2026How It Ended<\/p>\n

The ill-fated relationship \u201ctook an explosive turn\u201d in late October when Carl\u2019s wife apparently saw all of their messages, including \u201cnaughty photos,\u201d via an accidental connection to his work computer at the church office. Several other Hillsong co-workers were allegedly present at the time of the discovery, as well. YIKES!!!<\/p>\n

And once the affair was exposed, the dominoes fell from there, including Lentz losing his high-profile job.<\/p>\n

But things didn\u2019t\u00a0quite<\/em> wrap up so simply after all. The next night, Lentz allegedly insisted on \u201csaying goodbye in person,\u201d and came over to Ranin\u2019s place, where she alleges they were intimate once again.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, she recalled his apparent emotions that night:<\/p>\n

\u201cHe sat on my bed and kept repeating \u2018My life is over. I\u2019m going to lose my job. I don\u2019t know if my wife is ever going to forgive me.\u2019 I told him that he\u2019s living a lie and he will always be a liar. I told him he\u2019s a selfish human being and a narcissist. But he assured me that he will always have love for me and everything he told me while we were together about his feelings for me was true and he hopes one day I can forgive him for all the pain he caused me. He told me that what we had, he had never had with anyone before. He said he had never had a deep, sexual connection like what we had. And he had never loved anyone outside of his marriage until me. He told me it was crazy that he lived these two lives, and he still doesn\u2019t know how he was able to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Intense!!! Ultimately, Ranin claims she did not \u201cofficially say goodbye\u201d to Lentz until this past Thursday. She further noted they were \u201cboth beautiful, broken people who found each other and collided,\u201d but who also \u201cneed help.\u201d Yeah\u2026<\/p>\n

Lentz has been married to Laura for 17 years. They met as students at Hillsong\u2019s training academy in Australia before moving together to NYC in 2010 to spread the gospel. They now live in Montclair, New Jersey with their three children.<\/p>\n

In a statement published last week, the disgraced pastor noted he was \u201cbuilding back trust in his marriage.\u201d<\/p>\n
