Fittingly, the movie is called\u2026<strong><em>American Dream<\/em><\/strong>. But don\u2019t let the irony of the lead actors\u2019 countries of origin stop you from watching the newly released trailer for\u00a0<em>American Dream<\/em> below.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"American_Dream_Trailer\"><\/span>American Dream Trailer<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"American Dream - Watch Now on Digital, On Demand, and DVD\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7uH0WDx4Lis?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->Janusz\u00a0Kaminski has become a household name for all Spielberg fans, with the Oscar-winning cinematographer working on some of Spielberg\u2019s biggest <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a> of the past three decades, including\u00a0<em>Schindler\u2019s List, War of the Worlds, Minority Report<\/em>, and the upcoming\u00a0<em>West Side Story<\/em>. Kaminski made his directorial debut with the 2007 Polish drama\u00a0<em>Hania<\/em> and returns to the director\u2019s chair once again for\u00a0<em>American Dream<\/em>, a gritty crime drama co-written by\u00a0<strong>Duncan Brantley\u00a0<\/strong>(<em>Leatherheads<\/em>) and\u00a0<strong>Mark Wheaton<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>The Messengers<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p><em>American Dream<\/em> follows two brothers (Huisman\u00a0and\u00a0Bracey) who would do anything to protect their new business \u2014 including getting involved with the Russian mob for a loan to help fund their\u00a0entrepreneurial venture. But when the brothers are unable to pay, they\u2019re terrorized by Yuri\u00a0(<strong>Nick Stahl<\/strong>), an unhinged mobster who tortures and threatens them and their loved ones with death \u2014 and worse, to take over their business. The brothers are corned until Huisman\u2019s \u201ctough Russian girlfriend Ana decides to take action herself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t say that\u00a0<em>American Dream<\/em> looks on par with the work that\u00a0Kaminski has done with Spielberg.\u00a0<em>American Dream<\/em> looks like the kind of VOD thriller that will fall through the cracks of both the director and the stars\u2019 resumes, but hey, at least Nick Stahl is having a good time making a meal out of his Russian mobster character. But apart from that, the only thing that really stands out to me about the\u00a0<em>American Dream<\/em> trailer is that neither of the film\u2019s lead stars are American.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the synopsis for\u00a0<em>American Dream<\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Academy Award-winning cinematographer Janusz Kaminski (<em>Saving Private Ryan<\/em>) directs this intense thriller about the brutal struggle for success. Desperate for cash, entrepreneurs Scott (Luke Bracey) and Nicky (Michiel Huisman) turn to Russian mobster Yuri (Nick Stahl). After they refuse the funding he offers, Yuri gets revenge by trying to take over their construction project.
