A new report says that children\u2019s television network <strong>Nickelodeon<\/strong> has licensed the global rights to <em><strong>The Smurfs<\/strong><\/em> franchise, and is \u201cplanning an original CG-animated Smurfs Nickelodeon series for <strong>2021<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s not all: the world is about to be inundated with Smurf merch. ViacomCBS, Nickelodeon\u2019s parent company, has a consumer products division that will be releasing \u201ca new product line for the animated series featuring toys, stationery, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>arel and accessories, home, consumer packaged goods and more\u201d in countries like the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Malaysia starting in 2022. Get the details about the upcoming Smurfs TV series below.<span id=\"more-622731\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Wrap says that Nickelodeon\u2019s new <em>Smurfs<\/em> deal is part of a partnership with\u00a0LAFIG Belgium and IMPS, the world license holders for the Smurfs property. Those companies had already announced that a 3D animated series called <em>The Smurfs: A New Touch of Blue<\/em> would be available in 2021, and it seems as if these projects are one and the same. Though it\u2019s worth noting that today\u2019s announcement doesn\u2019t include any reference to that subtitle, so it\u2019s unknown if that aspect is still in play, if it\u2019s been thrown out entirely, or maybe if it\u2019ll just be used as part of the title in some territories.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"416\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7-RDGT5Lsp8?feature=oembed\" width=\"740\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>The Smurfs<\/em>, based on the Belgian comic series by an artist named Peyo, was a popular Saturday morning cartoon which followed a species of tiny blue creatures called Smurfs who also use the word \u201csmurf\u201d in their vocabulary to such a liberal degree that it can mean just about anything at any time. They live in mushroom houses in the woods, and always find themselves at odds with Gar<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>l, an evil human wizard who is obsessed with destroying them (or turning them into gold, or eating them, or whatever bizarre plan he had in a given episode). Here\u2019s how The Wrap describes the new show:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The series will include all of the beloved Smurf characters, like Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Brainy, Hefty, Clumsy and more going on new adventures packed with humor, heart and high-stakes action.
