\n The half-brother of Robert Fuller \u2014 a black man found hanging from a tree in California last week \u2014 was wanted for allegedly abusing his girlfriend, and holding her captive for six days before he was fatally shot by police on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Terron Boone, 31, is accused of assaulting the woman and imprisoning her at her Palmdale home from June 9 to Monday, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

Boone\u2019s girlfriend then \u201cwaited for an opportunity when he wasn\u2019t looking\u201d and escaped to a nearby business, where she called 911, authorities said.<\/p>\n

A warrant was issued for Boone\u2019s arrest Tuesday and police on Wednesday pursued a vehicle he got into in the town of Rosamond that was driven by one of his ex-girlfriends.<\/p>\n

Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s department shouted \u201chands up\u201d when they stopped the car, but Boone allegedly fired six rounds, striking several police vehicles.<\/p>\n

Four deputies returned fire, killing Boone.<\/p>\n

Boone\u2019s half-brother, Fuller, 24, was discovered in a park near Palmdale City Hall early on June 10.<\/p>\n

The county medical examiner-coroner\u2019s office originally said Fuller app<\/a>eared to have died by suicide. Officials noted that investigators only found rope and a backpack in the park, and nothing to indicate foul play.<\/p>\n

But following outcry from Fuller\u2019s family \u2014 who said he was not suicidal \u2014 and from community members, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva announced Monday that the department had opened a homicide probe into the man\u2019s death.<\/p>\n
