A combination of all three of course.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div><em>Welcome to <strong>The Queue<\/strong> \u2014 your daily distraction of curated video content sourced from across the web.<\/em><\/p>\n<hr>\n<\/hr>\n<p><em><strong>Possum<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>is an unorthodox and unforgettable film. In part because of its enigmatic, oppressive, and skin-crawling mood and in part because of its uncomfortably large human-faced spider puppet.<\/p>\n<p>The film follows a children\u2019s puppeteer named Phillip (played by the marvelous and under-<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>reciated <strong>Sean Harris<\/strong>) who returns to his childhood home after losing his job for an unspecified reason. While attempting to rid himself of his grotesque spider-legged marionette \u201cPossum,\u201d the disgraced Phillip comes face to face his abusive stepfather (<em>Braveheart<\/em>\u2018s <strong>Alun Armstrong<\/strong>) and the dark secrets that have haunted him his whole life.<\/p>\n<p><em>Possum\u00a0<\/em>was written and directed by <strong>Matthew Holness<\/strong>, whose short story of the same name was originally published in <em>The New Uncanny: Tales of Unease. <\/em>As a prompt, the anthology\u2019s publisher Comma Press asked horror writers to examine Sigmund Freud\u2019s essay on the Uncanny (a theory based on the existential phenomenon of encountering something simultaneously alien and familiar) and to select one essential human fear as inspiration for a modern horror story. Holness drew from not one, but two fears: puppets and doubles. Hollinger\u2019s analysis usually takes the shape of a personal retrospective. Indulging in a healthy dose of nostalgia, Hollinger\u2019s is contagiously endearing, entertaining, and informative.
