\n An eagle-eyed Google Earth devotee thinks there\u2019s something odd going on in Antarctica.<\/p>\n

The self-proclaimed \u201cEarth watchman\u201d claims he spotted an air vent on top of a \u201cmetallic shield\u201d in a no-fly zone on the icy continent.<\/p>\n

The keen observer posted a video on YouTube<\/a> titled \u201cHUGE Cave Opening Covered With an Iron Dome in Antarctica! \u2013 App<\/a>ears to go DEEP Underground.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his clip, Mr MBB333 estimates the area is over 150 feet wide \u2014 based on his measurement using Google Earth tools. Its two distinctive features: a pitch-black \u201copening\u201d and a metal-like \u201cshield.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat looks like some sort of vent, a thermal vent that goes underground. You can tell that the snow is darker than any other snow in the surrounding area,\u201d he tells viewers. \u201cThat would imply to me that there is heat transfer going on\u201d and suggests the top section is some metal or metal alloy man-made structure \u201cover an opening that goes underground\u201d.<\/p>\n

He then points out there is no volcanic activity nearby:\u00a0\u201cIt is just there all by itself.\u201d<\/p>\n

The video has received almost 1,000 comments \u2014 most in support of the alien theory.<\/p>\n
