The Control Center in macOS Big Sur and higher provides a one-stop location for system toggles and utilities ranging from Wi-Fi to keyboard brightness. You can also customize and add more features to the Control Center on Mac.<\/p>\n

Just like the Control Center on iPhone and iPad, there are parts of the modular Control Center that can\u2019t be changed. The network, display, and sound modules will stay put. But it\u2019s possible to add more modules to the bottom of the Control Center.<\/p>\n

\"Control<\/p>\n

The best part of the Control Center\u00a0is that it makes room in the menu bar. You don\u2019t need separate icons for \u201cWi-Fi,\u201d \u201cBluetooth,\u201d and \u201cSound\u201d outputs, taking up space in the menu bar.<\/p>\n

One of the most useful modules you can add to the Control Center is the \u201cBattery\u201d module. It shows your Mac\u2019s battery status, along with its percentage. This allows you to remove the battery icon from the menu bar.<\/p>\n

Control Center customization can be done from \u201cSystem Preferences.\u201d Click the \u201cApp<\/a>le\u201d icon from the menu bar and choose the \u201cSystem Preferences\u201d option.<\/p>\n

Here, click the \u201cDock & Menu Bar\u201d button.<\/p>\n

\"Click<\/p>\n

From the sidebar, go to the \u201cControl Center\u201d section. You\u2019ll now see each module listed here, with their own options. At the top, you\u2019ll find modules like \u201cWi-Fi,\u201d \u201cDisplay,\u201d and so on.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll only find one option in these modules\u2014\u201cShow in Menu Bar.\u201d<\/p>\n

This option will pin the specific module directly to the menu bar. You can click the icon to expand the module options in a drop-down menu.<\/p>\n

To add more features to the Control Center, scroll down until you see the \u201cOther Modules\u201d section. Here you\u2019ll see \u201cAccessibility Shortcuts,\u201d \u201cBattery,\u201d and \u201cFast User Switching\u201d modules.<\/p>\n

Select a module like \u201cBattery\u201d and then check the \u201cShow in Control Center\u201d option to add the module to the bottom of the Control Center. While you\u2019re at it, you can also check the \u201cShow Percentage\u201d option to show the battery percentage along with the icon.<\/p>\n

If you only want to add them to the menu bar, choose the \u201cShow in Menu Bar\u201d option. Once you enable any (or all three modules), you\u2019ll find them at the bottom of the Control Center.<\/p>\n

Click a module to expand it and see all features. The \u201cFast User Switching\u201d module will show all user accounts, and selecting a user will instantly switch to it.<\/p>\n
