\n Don\u2019t get tripped up if you don\u2019t recognize Sarah Paulson in her next role.<\/p>\n

The 45-year-old actress and muse of uber-producer Ryan Murphy has revealed her huge transformation \u2014 courtesy of extensive prosthetics \u2014 into former White House staffer Linda Tripp for \u201cAmerican Crime Story: Impeachment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLinda. American Crime Story: Impeachment has begun principal photography,\u201d she wrote in a caption<\/a> for a photo showing her new wigged look.<\/p>\n

The Season 3 installment of Murphy\u2019s anthology series<\/a> will look at the sex scandal involving President Bill Clinton and intern Monica Lewinsky. Filming had been set to start last spring with a fall 2020 premiere but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is going to require a lot of things,\u201d Paulson said of her portrayal during an appearance<\/a> on \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!\u201d in June. \u201cI\u2019ll be wearing a lot of prosthetics and body transformational accouterments \u2014 if that\u2019s a word I can use.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clive Owen last year signed on<\/a> to play Clinton with Beanie Feldstein (\u201cLady Bird,\u201d \u201cWhat We Do in the Shadows\u201d) as Lewinsky and Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones, who sued Clinton for sexual harassment.<\/p>\n

Murphy\u2019s production is based on the 2000 book \u201cA Vast Conspiracy: The Real Sex Scandal that Nearly Brought Down a President<\/a>\u201d by Jeffrey Toobin, who was fired Wednesday by The New Yorker because of allegedly inapp<\/a>ropriate behavior during a Zoom call.<\/p>\n

Previous installments of \u201cAmerican Crime Story\u201d have examined the 1997 murder of fashion designer Gianni Versace by serial killer Andrew Cunanan (played by Darren Criss) and the high-profile murder trial of O.J. Simpson (in which Paulson played prosecutor Marcia Clark).<\/p>\n

Paulson most recently starred in Murphy\u2019s Netflix drama \u201cRatched<\/a>,\u201d an origin story for the wicked nurse from \u201cOne Flew Over the Cuckoo\u2019s Nest.\u201d\n <\/div>\n
