Conservative firebrand Candace Owens is refusing to apologize after landing in some internet heat Monday. The commentator and author critiqued 26-year-old \u201cCherry\u201d singer Harry Styles\u2019 new American Vogue cover, in which he wears a ball gown and custom Gucci jacket.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no society that can survive without strong men,\u201d Owens, 31,\u00a0wrote on Twitter<\/a>\u00a0in response to the photos of Styles, who, with the cover, became Vogue\u2019s\u00a0first solo male cover star<\/a>. \u201cThe East knows this. In the west, the steady feminization of our men at the same time that Marxism is being taught to our children is not a coincidence. It is an outright attack. Bring back manly men.\u201d<\/p>\n

The tweet has racked up more than 94,000 likes as of Monday evening. Its most-liked response<\/a>, from actress and filmmaker Olivia Wilde, has over 110,000 likes, and reads: \u201cYou\u2019re pathetic.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Owens, who previously served as the communications director for the right-leaning Turning Point USA and is a relatively recent supporter of President Donald Trump, said she refuses to take back her words.<\/p>\n
