He continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis thing you\u2019ve been doing that\u2019s either sexual or violent\u2026 This strange, strange bit that for some reason you\u2019ve pulled me into. What is it? When you first started doing it, it was easy for me to shrug it off.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>At which Oliver interjected:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cEspecially with those shoulders, I bet.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Driver was unamused, lashing out:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cStop talking! Do you realize, over this past year, what you\u2019ve asked me to do to you? \u2018Collapse on your chest.\u2019 \u2018Tie your fingers in a square knot.\u2019 \u2018Step on your throat.\u2019 \u2018Shatter your knees.\u2019 \u2018Pull your heart out through your ear.\u2019 What\u2019s wrong with you? You realize we\u2019re strangers, right? I don\u2019t know you. And now random people on the internet stan us, claiming that you thirsting over me is \u2018a mood.\u2019 I\u2019m sick of people stopping me on the street and asking me if I\u2019m going to punch a hole in you like a <em>Marriage Story<\/em> wall.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>OK, that\u2019s a good one.<\/p>\n<p>Driver tried to get Oliver to apologize, which led to the\u00a0<strong>HBO<\/strong> star saying instead:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI\u2019m\u2026six feet of nasty, spankable bird meat crammed into a suit?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>To which the\u00a0<strong>Oscar<\/strong> nominee responded:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYou\u2019re sorry! I\u2019m tying to get you to say you\u2019re sorry, Jesus Christ! You deeply weird, small, small thing!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>When the Brit comic finally did apologize, Driver took pity on him, saying gently:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cLook, it\u2019s been a rough year for everyone and I can tell it\u2019s really gotten to you, sitting alone in your void. But I think, maybe, it might be time for you to step out of it for a bit. Get up from your chair. See what the world has to offer. Explore the space, man.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>John couldn\u2019t help but get one last BDSM exchange out, replying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cJust to be absolutely clear though, Adam, are you\u2026 giving me an order?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Ha!<\/p>\n<p>Driver left with the words:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI hated this. Goodbye.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Which, while this whole thing clearly was a bit, was still probably true given his very private nature.<\/p>\n<p>Will Oliver really give up the weird sexual jokes? Maybe.
