Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a> and pay by presenting a valid public transport ticket (which can be bought at kiosks or online through the VBZ app) to the driver.<\/p>\n<p>Single tickets in the Swiss city are valid for a two-hour timeframe, so passengers can use the service in conjunction with other forms of public transport.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Cities Today<\/em>,\u00a0Tobias W\u00e4lti, Corporate Communication Manager, VBZ, said:\u00a0\u201cWe really want to test how we can use this service, and could make amendments during the 18-month trial based on the direction it goes and the demand we see.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf everything goes well we hope to introduce this as a permanent service.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pikmi does not run on predefined routes or according to a fixed timetable, and in addition to the existing VBZ stops in the operating area, nearly 150 additional \u2018virtual bus stops\u2019 that do not require any additional infrastructure will be added.<\/p>\n<p>The location of each \u2018virtual bus stop\u2019 is described in detail for passengers as they prepare for pick-up through the Pikmi app.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Pikmi - Haltestelle, gleich um die Ecke\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0E9vXMhoQLE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
