Chargers star rookie quarterback Justin Herbert stunned the masses Wednesday, revealing he ditched his brown locks for a cleaner, shorter look.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo particular reason, it was time and just getting too long, it was time to cut it,\u201d the 22-year-old told reporters.<\/a><\/p>\n

The sixth overall pick in this year\u2019s draft dismissed the notion he cut it over superstitious reasons, despite a three-game Chargers losing streak and a 2-7 record for the team.<\/p>\n

Herbert did let slip that LA\u2019s strength and conditioning coach, John Lott, knows his way around a pair of scissors.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said he was good with the clippers,\u201d Herbert said, per USA Today<\/a>. \u201cI think he did a good job.\u201d<\/p>\n

In less shocking news<\/a>, Twitter had some things to say about Herbert\u2019s transformation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI legit can\u2019t concentrate now that I\u2019ve seen Justin Herbert\u2019s haircut\u2026,\u201d ESPN\u2019s Kimberley A. Martin tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n
