\n A man escaped serious injury after being shoved onto the tracks of a Manhattan subway station by a suspected panhandler on Wednesday night, police said.<\/p>\n

The victim, in his 30s, was pushed to the railbed at the 42nd Street-Bryant Park station after fighting with the man at about 7 p.m., cops said.<\/p>\n

A verbal argument between the two turned physical before the suspect shoved the man. Afterward, the victim got back up to the platform safely. He suffered minor injuries.<\/p>\n

Police believe the suspect, in his 20s or 30s, was panhandling outside the station before the feud.<\/p>\n

It was not immedia<\/a>tely clear if the suspect had asked the victim for money, or if that sparked the fight.<\/p>\n

The suspect fled the station after the attack and was last seen wearing a red tracksuit.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
