“#Google Chrome for M1 Macs is out \u2014 here\u2019s how to get it<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n Google Chrome is finally available for App<\/a>le\u2019s new Macs with its M1 chip after a few roadblocks. The company had to pause the rollout yesterday\u00a0after many users complained about app crashes.<\/p>\n

The Big G originally released the popular browser tuned for Apple\u2019s new chips yesterday. But folks who downloaded it, weren\u2019t able to use it<\/a> because it crashed constantly. Later, Chrome engineer Mark Chang said that they\u2019ve paused the rollout for now<\/a>, and issued a workaround for users who have already downloaded it.<\/p>\n

Last night, Chang said that issues are now resolved and you can download a stable version of the browser built for M1 chips.<\/p>\n

If you want to download the browser, head to this link<\/a> from your desktop, and click on the Download Chrome<\/em> button. You\u2019ll see a dialog box pop up to choose a version suited for your Mac.<\/p>\n

This new version will supposedly churn out a better performance than the one emulated through Apple\u2019s Rosetta 2 layer. TechCrunch\u2019s Matthew Panzarino<\/a> was able to open 400 Chrome (Intel-version) tabs on his M1-powered MacBook Pro.<\/p>\n

Results: 400 tabs open, It’s still running cool but I got it to flame out in Chrome, just unusable. But watching a movie and listening to music works. Honestly Chrome is such a pig, I bet this would actually work in Safari pic.twitter.com\/UEntSfVlra<\/a><\/p>\n
