complete.<\/p>\n<p>Five months late and and following an unusual pre-draft process because of the COVID-19 pandemic, NBA teams have finally injected their rosters with some youth in hopes of finding the next stars.<\/p>\n<p>At first blush, here\u2019s how each team graded out with their picks from Wednesday night:<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Atlanta_Hawks\"><\/span>Atlanta Hawks<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>No. 6:<\/strong> Onyeka Okongwu, C, USC <\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 50:<\/strong> Skylar Mays, SG, LSU<\/p>\n<p>Okongwu is an exciting big man with athleticism, but unless the Hawks have more moves coming \u2014 with Clint Capela and John Collins in their frontcourt \u2014 it\u2019s a questionable fit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade:<\/strong> C+<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Boston_Celtics\"><\/span>Boston Celtics<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>No. 14:<\/strong> Aaron Nesmith, SF, Vanderbilt<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 26:<\/strong> Payton Pritchard, PG, Oregon<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 47:<\/strong> Yam Madar, PG, Hapoel Tel Aviv (Israel)<\/p>\n<p>The Celtics needed shooters off the bench and got a pair in Nesmith, who is coming off foot surgery, and Pritchard, who can bring some energy as a backup point guard. It remains to be seen if the Shamet deal is a precursor to something bigger.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade:<\/strong> C<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Charlotte_Hornets\"><\/span>Charlotte Hornets<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>No. 3:<\/strong> LaMelo Ball, PG, Illawarra Hawks <\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 32:<\/strong> Vernon Carey Jr., C, Duke<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 42:<\/strong> Nick Richards, C, Kentucky<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 56:<\/strong> Grant Riller, PG, Charleston<\/p>\n<p>Ball could have gone No. 1 but the Hornets gladly scooped him up at No. 3. The Hornets got a legit playmaker \u2014 even if his dad once said he could beat their principal owner, Michael Jordan, in one-on-one \u2014 whose ceiling could be special. They followed up by adding some young size and another scorer in Riller.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade:<\/strong> A<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Chicago_Bulls\"><\/span>Chicago Bulls<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>No. 4:<\/strong> Patrick Williams, SF, Florida State<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 44:<\/strong> Marko Simonovic, C, Montenegro<\/p>\n<p>The Bulls went off the board and picked Williams, who was the ACC\u2019s Sixth Man of the Year in his only season of college basketball. They\u2019re hoping they can tap into his potential and versatility to make this pick look worth it down the road.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade:<\/strong> C<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cleveland_Cavaliers\"><\/span>Cleveland Cavaliers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>No. 5:<\/strong> Isaac Okoro, SF, Auburn<\/p>\n<p>Most mock drafts had the Cavs taking Obi Toppin with the fifth pick but they went for the physical wing and strong defender instead. How much Okoro\u2019s offense grows to match his defense will make or break this pick down the road<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade:<\/strong> B-<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dallas_Mavericks\"><\/span>Dallas Mavericks<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>No. 18:<\/strong> Josh Green, SG, Arizona <\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 31:<\/strong> Tyrell Terry, PG, Stanford<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 36:<\/strong> Tyler Bey, PF, Colorado<\/p>\n<p>The Mavericks might have something with this class. Green has plenty of athleticism and can play defense, Terry was a late riser and Bey adds another defensive presence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade:<\/strong> B<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Denver_Nuggets\"><\/span>Denver Nuggets<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>No. 22:<\/strong> Zeke Nnaji, PF, Arizona <\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 24:<\/strong> RJ Hampton, PG, New Zealand Breakers (Australia)<\/p>\n<p>Hampton could be one of the steals of this draft if his shot improves. The former top recruit lost some buzz when he played overseas instead of in college, but the Nuggets have done well recently with players who may have slidden down draft boards. Nnaji also brings some upside and size.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade:<\/strong> B<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Detroit_Pistons\"><\/span>Detroit Pistons<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>No. 7:<\/strong> Killian Hayes, PG, Ratiopharm Ulm (Germany)<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 16:<\/strong> Isaiah Stewart, C, Washington<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 19:<\/strong> Saddiq Bey, SF, Villanova<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 38:<\/strong> Saben Lee, PG, Vanderbilt<\/p>\n<p>The Pistons are overhauling their roster under new GM Troy Weaver and he got off to a strong start Wednesday night. They were active in trades and ended up with three picks in the top 20. Hayes and Stewart could be key pieces with some development while Bey offers the steady presence that comes with playing under Jay Wright.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade:<\/strong> A-<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Golden_State_Warriors\"><\/span>Golden State Warriors<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>No. 2:<\/strong> James Wiseman, PF\/C, Memphis<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 48:<\/strong> Nico Mannion, PG, Arizona<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 51:<\/strong> Justinian Jessup, SG, Boise State<\/p>\n<p>The Warriors\u2019 minds may have been straying toward Klay Thompson\u2019s health, but they did get a strong addition in Wiseman, who could help them fight for a title if they are at full strength. Martin has some good NBA bloodlines, but who knows what kind of locker room he\u2019ll be entering.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade:<\/strong> C<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Indiana_Pacers\"><\/span>Indiana Pacers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>No. 54:<\/strong> Cassius Stanley, SG, Duke <\/p>\n<p>Another team that had to wait late into the night to make their only selection, the Pacers went with Stanley, hoping he can be a 3-and-D wing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade:<\/strong> C+<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Los_Angeles_Clippers\"><\/span>Los Angeles Clippers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>No. 33:<\/strong> Daniel Oturu, C, Minnesota <\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 55:<\/strong> Jay Scrubb, SG, John A. Logan College<\/p>\n<p>The Clippers got Luke Kennard in a three-team deal with the Pistons and Nets, but gave up Landry Shamet in the process.
