“#Megyn Kelly has no regrets about feud with Donald Trump<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n Megyn Kelly on Wednesday revisited her infamous feud with President Trump, discussing whether she\u2019d change anything about how she handled the situation that led to months of attacks from the then-Republican presidential nominee.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot one word,\u201d the former Fox News<\/a> anchor told the Daily Caller<\/a> in a new interview. \u201cI 100 percent stand by the question and by my tweets the other day,\u201d she added referring to tweets from earlier this month addressing the public spat.<\/p>\n

Kelly and Trump were locked in a months-long beef after the journalist questioned Trump about calling women \u201cfat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals\u201d as she moderated the GOP presidential debate in August 2015. Trump infamously quipped back, \u201cOnly Rosie O\u2019Donnell.\u201d<\/p>\n

That prompted repeated attacks from Trump against Kelly, including calling her \u201cnot very good or professional\u201d and saying, \u201cYou could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, five years later and after just launching her own company, Devil May Care Media<\/a>, Kelly stands firmly behind her question.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, I think the media doesn\u2019t understand that objective news analysis doesn\u2019t always bash a Republican or a Democrat, right?\u201d she told the Daily Caller. \u201cLike, Trump deserved that question because what I was trying to ask him was, \u2018This is what the Democrats are going to hit you with. How are you going to respond?\u2019 And I was 100% right, they did hit him with that. Over and over and over and over.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelly \u2014 who declared President-elect Joe Biden the winner of this year\u2019s first presidential debate and Trump the winner of the second \u2014 also discussed the challenge of balancing doing \u201cobjective news\u201d with the public\u2019s expectation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey feel betrayed,\u201d she explained. \u201cThey thought I was on their side because I asked him that question and he attacked me for nine months. Well, I was never on their side. And I\u2019m not on the Republicans\u2019 side, either. I\u2019m on the side of the truth, and if it happ<\/a>ens to align with one side or another, great, good, I\u2019m glad it works out for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI am just a reporter trying to report the truth and call it like I see \u2019em.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelly made headlines this week when she announced she pulled her kids out of their \u201cwoke\u201d school after a letter allegedly circulated accusing white people of \u201creveling in state-sanctioned depravity\u201d and comparing white children to \u201ckiller cops.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
