Dining out, she \u201csaw an older man with a disposable mask wr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed around his upper arm.\u201d \u201cThey said I have to wear it,\u201d he said. \u201cThey didn\u2019t say where!\u201d That\u2019s \u201cthe attitude\u201d of \u201ca significant minority of Americans.\u201d \u201cSkepticism of coronavirus containment recommendations\u201d has only risen since public-health experts decided \u201cprotesting police brutality is worth the risk of contagion.\u201d Americans won\u2019t remain locked down, so let\u2019s focus on reducing harm. Allow religious communities to meet \u201cin large sanctuaries instead of forcing them to conceal their gathering in far smaller and riskier private homes.\u201d Rather than have \u201ckids from multiple households crowd around the TV all summer, open the pool.\u201d In sum, \u201crecognize that there can be competing goods, and that doing the best we realistically can is better than doing nothing at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>From the right: Popularity Is Not Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cPollsters and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> outlets\u201d don\u2019t \u201cunderstand the difference between policy outcomes and constitutional process,\u201d laments National Review\u2019s David Harsanyi. Take Pew pollster Neil Ruiz touting his center\u2019s survey \u201cshowing that Americans broadly support\u201d Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals the day the Supreme Court ruled President Trump couldn\u2019t immediately end the program. Harsanyi supports DACA\u2019s goals to legalize \u201cthe children of illegal immigrants\u201d \u2014 but he knows that \u201cto become law, they need to\u2026well, become law.\u201d President Barack Obama passed DACA by executive order, undermining \u201cthe entire purpose of having a Congress.\u201d Pollsters shouldn\u2019t ask Americans\u2019 opinions on the \u201clegal status of illegal immigrants\u201d \u2014 but rather if they believe presidents can \u201cbypass Congress\u201d to change law.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Libertarian: Cancel Culture\u2019s New Low<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Washington Post has published \u201cone of the worst <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>paper articles of all time,\u201d blasts Reason\u2019s Robby Soave. At a 2018 Halloween party a Post cartoonist hosted, \u201ca white woman painted her face black and wore a name tag that read \u2018Hello, My Name is Megyn Kelly,\u2019\u201d referring to her defense of blackface. The partygoer \u201cis not famous, she does not appear to hold any power, and is not seeking public office.\u201d But \u201ca pair of young, progressive women\u201d offended by the costume wanted \u201crevenge,\u201d enlisting the paper \u201cto help them identify and publicly humiliate\u201d the woman, and the Post obliged with 3,000 words. This horrible piece made it to print because of \u201cthe rising dual trends of activist journalism and unforgiving progressivism,\u201d and \u201ceveryone involved in its publication should be deeply ashamed.\u201d Snaps Soave: \u201cAs far as cancel culture goes, this is a new and depressing low point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Culture desk: COVID Boosts Country<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The music industry had been thriving, but \u201cthe pandemic changed all that,\u201d reports Bloomberg\u2019s Lucas Shaw. Concerts are canceled, and \u201clistening has fallen by about 550 million streams a week.\u201d \u201cBut two genres have been spared the COVID crunch: children\u2019s music and country.\u201d \u201cGrowth in kids\u2019 music has subsided as more people return to work,\u201d but \u201ccountry has only accelerated\u201d: Americans \u201chave listened to an average of 11.1% more country since mid-March,\u201d and streaming climbed nearly a quarter the last week of May. \u201cMusic executives and fans\u201d have a few theories why: Some say it\u2019s \u201ccomfort food at a time when people are craving any form of succor,\u201d while others note \u201ccountry music is a perfect complement to drinking,\u201d a popular lockdown pastime. \u201cThe simplest explanation may be the most boring,\u201d though: \u201cCountry fans,\u201d who tend to be older, \u201care learning to stream.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Media watch: A Worrying Moment for Democracy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, retired newspaperman Tony Ridder is \u201caghast\u201d that internal uproar over publishing an op-ed by Sen. Tom Cotton forced James Bennet to \u201cresign as editor of The New York Times\u2019 opinion section.\u201d Newspapers have long promoted \u201cfree speech\u201d and \u201cfrank and honest debate\u201d \u2014 the \u201cgrist for any democracy.\u201d If newspapers \u201ccease to be public forums,\u201d \u201chow on earth\u201d will Americans \u201cunderstand those who come from different backgrounds\u201d? Washington politicians \u201cwall themselves off\u201d from members of the other party, and journalism \u201crisks being sucked into the black hole of Washington\u2019s partisanship,\u201d Ridder bemoans. \u201cReaders deserve better.
