Word came out today that Marvel Studios is developing an R-rated Deadpool 3<\/em>, but buried in that original report was a separate piece of news<\/a> we hadn\u2019t heard before. Sony\u2019s planned female-led\u00a0Jump Street<\/em> spin-off reportedly has a title, and it\u2019s app<\/a>ropriate given the franchise\u2019s penchant for humor: Jump Street: Now For Her Pleasure<\/strong><\/em>. I guess Jump Street: Ribbed For Her Pleasure<\/em> may have been a step too far.
<\/span><\/p>\n

Did you forget that Sony was developing a spin-off of Phil Lord and Chris Miller\u2019s\u00a021<\/em> and 22 Jump Street<\/em> movies<\/a>, and intending for that spin-off to have two women take on central roles in a new story? You\u2019re not the only one \u2013 the existence of this project completely slipped my mind. Maybe it\u2019s because the last time we heard an update about it was in December of 2018, and the world has gotten increasingly chaotic since then.<\/p>\n

Last we heard, Girls Trip<\/a><\/em> star\u00a0Tiffany Haddish<\/strong> was in talks to play a police officer who goes undercover as a high school teacher and poses as the mother of a new student at the school, who also happens to be an undercover cop. Awkwafina<\/strong> (Crazy Rich Asians<\/em>) was being eyed for that younger role, but it sounds like neither of them have officially joined the project quite yet.
\nJump Street: Now For Her Pleasure<\/em> was written by sisters\u00a0Wendy Molyneux<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin<\/strong>, who have credits on Bob\u2019s Burgers<\/em>,\u00a0will be tackling the script for\u00a0Deadpool 3<\/em>, and also wrote a movie version of The Sims<\/em> video game<\/a> for Legendary.<\/p>\n
