Alpha Gang<\/em><\/strong>, a new sci-fi comedy from sibling directing team\u00a0David<\/strong> and Nathan Zellner<\/strong>, has put together a ridiculously good looking cast.\u00a0Andrea Riseborough<\/strong>, Jon Hamm<\/strong>, Nicholas Hoult<\/strong>, Charlotte Gainsbourg<\/strong>, Mackenzie Davis<\/strong>, Sofia Boutella<\/strong>, and Steven Yeun<\/strong> are all set to star in the film, which is about aliens who come to conquer the planet, only to have a change of heart.<\/p>\n

Variety has the\u00a0Alpha Gang<\/em> cast news<\/a>, and what a cast that is. There\u2019s no word on which characters all those attractive people will play, but the film \u201ccenters on aliens sent on a mission to conquer Earth. Armed and dangerous, they show no mercy \u2014 that is, of course, until they catch the human disease of emotion. Their plan for world domination is in danger of derailing once they start to feel joy, fear, empathy and love.\u201d<\/p>\n

Based on, well, everything in the world these days, I have a very hard time believing that the \u201chuman disease of emotion\u201d is contagious, since it genuinely seems like a large chunk of humanity is comprised of absolute monsters. But hey, movies<\/a> are meant to be escapism, and there\u2019s nothing more escapist right now than the belief that there\u2019s still some good left in this world.<\/p>\n

David and Nathan Zellner, directors of\u00a0Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter<\/em> and\u00a0Damsel<\/em>, will helm the film, from a script<\/a> by\u00a0David Zellner. \u201cI\u2019ve been wanting to make this film for a long time \u2014 a genre mashup of sci-fi, action and comedy,\u201d David Zellner said. \u201cNathan and I couldn\u2019t be more excited about the incredible cast joining us for this wild ride.\u201d<\/p>\n

Protagonist Pictures is handling international sales for the film, with plans for production to begin in 2021. \u201cAlpha Gang<\/em>\u00a0is a hilarious, fast-paced and highly commercial movie with a phenomenal A-list cast and is exactly the dose of humor that the market needs right now,\u201d said\u00a0Dave Bishop, CEO of Protagonist Pictures, and I don\u2019t know about you, but I\u00a0love\u00a0<\/em>me some highly commercial movies with phenomenal A-list cast members.<\/p>\n
