\n That menu must not be much of a secret after all.<\/p>\n

Colorado fans of the iconic California chain In-N-Out Burger waited on epic lines Friday as the state\u2019s first two outlets opened.<\/p>\n

In Aurora, cops were called to control the crowds as cars and customers snaked around the new fast food restaurant and an adjacent mall. Customers told the local ABC affiliate<\/a> said they waited nearly 14 hours to get their hamburgers, fries and shakes.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s official, traffic is double double animal style right now all around the mall,\u201d Aurora Police tweeted<\/a>, using some of the cult-like chain\u2019s lingo. \u201cWe are on hand helping manage the massive traffic response.\u201d A later post warned of a 12-hour wait, and another said the line \u201cwrapp<\/a>ed around the mall twice.\u201d They estimated the line was 1.5 to 2 miles long.<\/p>\n

In-N-Out expected to sell about 60,000 burgers over the weekend at the Aurora store, The Denver Post reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The second location in Colorado Springs saw a similar deluge of eager eaters, according to The Gazette<\/a>, including one Southern California native who parked his Toyota, which was decked out to resemble the \u201cGhostbusters\u201d car, in the joint\u2019s drive-through lane on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

I had time off so I decided to just come down Tuesday and make sure I was the first one,\u201d Colorado transplant Ken Vizzini told the Gazette. \u201cIt\u2019s just been a fun and exciting experience, I don\u2019t regret doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Denny Warnick, In-N-Out\u2019s vice president of operations, said the company was thrilled with the reception. \u201cI don\u2019t know if we\u2019ve ever felt more welcome, between all the anticipation and the requests for In-N-Out to come to Colorado and now to see the customers out here this morning just feels great,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The family-owned In-N-Out also has locations in Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Texas and Oregon. They\u2019ve announced plans to open at least seven more locations in Colorado.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
